“She goes nowhere.” Lek stepped in front of Freya, barring her with his body.

Keira shrugged. “It matters not. Here or with me.”

Freya pushed at Lek’s body, frustrated when it would not yield. She poked her head around it instead glaring at the Queen. “Let me return to the door and pass through. I have no intention to visit this place again.”

A growl rumbled through Lek’s chest and his hand shot out and grabbed her arm. “If you go, I go,” he hissed.

Keira seemed to dismiss the pair. She turned and walked to the door. “My guards will remain here. I do not suggest you try anything foolish. I will return presently for your final decision. Willing or as a captive, you will remain.”

Then she was gone. The room closed around Freya and her stomach lurched with an empty sense of despair.

Freya looked up at Lek who stood staring at her. His eyes flared with anger and passion. Again, Freya felt a wave of primal lust. She sensed the presence of Enthra but could not break the connection. Flashes of herself naked and Lek’s body against her filled her mind, forcing out her own will to focus on her predicament.

“Stop it!” she cried, panting as desire swamped her. “Release my mind!”

“I need to consult with the other elders,” Enthra spoke mostly to herself as she pulled a cloak from a hook in the wall and draped it over her frail shoulders. “I will be some time,” she added with a faint smile.

Vaguely aware of her departure, Freya forced her gaze away from the raw lust that she could see in Lek’s fiery look. It took all of her concentration to pull her mind from the visions she knew were his. Scared to look up at the giant man who loomed above her whose desire and anger filled the space and made the air crackle with tension, Freya took long gulps of air as she stared down at the crevices of the cave floor.

Feeling a hand cup her chin, Freya finally allowed herself to face the creature that filled her every thought.

“This has been hard for you.” His voice was rich and touched her like a caress.

“D–don’t be nice to me,” she stammered. “That will be my undoing.”

Lek laughed, his chest moving as his body shook. “You are quite something,” he whispered as he bent down and pressed his lips on hers.

Freya was spent. Her legs sagged as she leaned her weight into Lek’s strength. Her own lips responded to his kiss and its energy revived her. Freya lifted her hands to trace the smooth plane of Lek’s head. His kiss deepened and his tongue demanded entry into her pliant mouth. Freya allowed him access then brazenly sucked his thick tongue, her core pulsing with need.
