Luminosity Publishing is currently looking for fast-paced romance in the following categories only:

• Gay / Alternative – M/M – all genres
• BDSM – M/M, Ménage, and M/F
• Paranormal – M/F, M/M, and Ménage.
• Sci-Fi – M/F, M/M, and Ménage.
• Historical – M/M, M/F and Ménage but must contain BDSM
• Historical – M/M, M/F, and Ménage with a Scottish Highlander theme
• PUBLISHER NOTE: Some categories will overlap. Check out the Submission Calls page for the latest requirements.

Book Length:

Minimum word count – 20,000.

10,000+ words considered for works which include BDSM.

Maximum Word Count – 80,000 words only.

Heat Ratings:

Luminosity Publishing is currently interested in the following heat ratings:

Sweet Romance ~ Romance with no sex scenes, or closed-door sex. No sexual language, will not offend delicate readers. Always contains a happily ever after.

 Sizzling Romance ~ Mainstream Romance with mild sex scenes. Flowery use of sexual language (euphemisms), could offend delicate readers. Always contains a happily ever after.

 Scorching-Hot Romance ~ Erotic Romance with sex scenes using descriptive words. Some euphemisms. Could offend readers. Always with a happily ever after.

 Red-Hot Romance ~ Erotic Romance. Explicit sex scenes from the get-go. Descriptive words, leaving little to the imagination. No euphemisms. Could offend some readers. Comes complete with a required happily ever after.

 X-Rated Erotica ~ Contains frequent and explicit sex scenes from the get-go. No euphemisms. Descriptions leave nothing to the imagination. Will offend most readers. May not contain a happily ever after, although the story will finish on a happy note.

What we are not interested in.

Absolutely NO to any of the following:

• Paedophilia – NO WAY! Remember, all characters involved in a sexual relationship must be 18 or over, and 21 for multiple partner stories.
• Rape as titillation – This overused trope should only be used for driving a plotline. Definitely not for titillation!
• Bodily functions – Just NO!
• Necrophilia – Absolutely NO! Although we will make an exception for vampires and the undead.
• Bestiality – NO! Werewolves, shapeshifters, and sci-fi beings the only exception.
• Incest – No blood-related relationships or affairs.
• Psuedo incest – No relationships between step-family members.
