By Annie Oakfield

When rookie firefighter Jensen Brother is assigned to Rutherford’s Fire Station, he has little idea of what lies in store for him.

Young, sheltered and inexperienced, he encounters a hotbed of activity amongst the burly firemen and is quickly exposed to raw male lust as well as tenderness and understanding.

Still undecided as to where his romantic future lies, but cautious of being trapped by marriage like his college mates, Jensen decides to embrace—quite literally—the opportunities that present themselves to him. Taking a communal shower will never be the same again.

Warning: A Contemporary M/M Romance containing nude scenes and intimacy between male firemen. Showering with your work buddies will never be the same again.

Matt appeared beside me and nudged my elbow as I was changing out of my kit.

“I’m going to hit the gym for an hour,” he said. “Want to join me?” I was tired and wanted nothing more than to go home and put my feet up. “Look, you’re tired right now, yeah?” he asked. I nodded. “So, spend an hour on the weights. You’ll still be tired, but at least you’ll have put some work in.” He squeezed my upper arm and hissed through his teeth, shaking his head. It was true. There wasn’t much muscle there. I sighed. I would have to begin my fitness regime some time. It might as well be tonight.

“It usually gets busy toward the weekends,” Matt told me. “Tonight’s a fairly quiet one, so we’ll have our pick of the machines.”

He was right. The place was almost empty. We spent over an hour making a full circuit of the treadmills, rowers, and cross-trainers before moving onto the weights. Matt was careful to show me the best way to lift, starting me off with ridiculously small weights while assuring me that I would have torn something if I’d just dived in and pushed as much iron as I could.

“You might feel a bit stiff tomorrow,” he said. “But at least you’ll be able to move.”

I nodded and climbed off the weights bench. Far from feeling tired, I was invigorated. My body was buzzing with energy, and I wanted to continue.

“You can come back tomorrow night,” he said. “If you don’t build up your strength gradually, you’ll injure yourself. Trust me, yeah?” He dropped a hand onto each of my shoulders and smiled. “Right, now you need to wind down. Shower time.” I nodded, pushing my hands back through my sweat-soaked scalp. He inclined his head toward the door and turned away. I followed, and five minutes later, we were both naked in one of the five small shower rooms, standing beneath steaming hot water.

“How do you feel?” Matt called over the rushing water. He was busy coating himself with shower gel. The shine emphasized his youthful physique.

“Better than I thought I would,” I answered.

“No stiffness?”

“Just a bit tight.” I rolled my head on my neck.

“I can sort that,” he said and stepped up to me. He spun his finger to indicate that I should turn around. His hands found my shoulders and he began to rub firmly, pushing his thumbs against my stiffening muscles. I groaned.

“How’s that?”

“Good,” I said over my shoulder. “Very good.” I writhed as he applied more pressure, expecting it to hurt at any moment, but the impromptu massage was quite invigorating. He seemed to know what he was doing. My blood sang, and heat flushed my skin.

And then his fingers squeezed my swollen cock, turning my entire body rigid. He shifted his hand—and glanced at me.

“Uh-huh,” was all I managed to say. He grinned and pumped his hand up and down, pulling back my foreskin to expose the head to the warm water. I’d no idea what was going to happen here. Hell, I could hardly believe that this was real. I just let my free arm hang at my side and let whatever was going to happen, happen.
